Erdrick Pérez-González is a professor in the Department of Civil and Water Engineering, specializing in dam and pavement geotechnics. His research focuses on the effect of dynamic loads on granular materials and associated structures. He has made major contributions to the analysis of the effect of oversize vehicles on geotechnical structures, as well as to the use of plastic strain rate as an indicator of the performance of granular materials subjected to repetitive loads. He is a member of the Chaire de Recherche en partenariat sur l'optimisation du cycle de vie des Barrages en remblai.
